Breville Gourmet Baker Bread Maker BBM400

Budding bread makers will love the ease and efficiency of the Breville BBM400 Gourmet Baker, designed to help you create a delectable range of sweet and savoury loaves, baguettes and cakes.

The taste and smell of freshly baked bread just can’t be beat, and soon you can be enjoying your own homemade versions with the Breville BBM400.

A special dispenser will let you easily add fruits, nuts, grains or jam into any appropriate recipe, with a chute that opens automatically to add the ingredients into the dough at just the right time in the kneading process – ensuring even distribution and delicious results.

The built-in clock included with the Gourmet Baker has a programmable start time, so you can ‘set and forget’. If you love the sensation of waking up to warm, freshly baked bread then this model is the one for you.

There are a variety of preset programmes included with the BBM400 Bread Maker, and a manual mode also lets you get creative with your own choice of flavours and baking styles. You’ll love experimenting with the different recipes, and the Gourmet Baker makes it easy to do so.

A viewing window built into the top of the machine ensures you can have a peek at the progress without disturbing the baking procedure. With a variety of different loaf sizes available, all you have to do is push a button to set the Breville BBM400 for a 500g, 750g or 1kg size.

In addition to this, a special crust colour button lets you select how you want your crust to look – light, medium or darkly coloured.

The Breville Gourmet Baker also comes with a variety of handy accessories that enable you to create whatever type of bread you want. This includes two non-stick baguette trays, a non-stick cake pan, a bread paddle and a cake paddle, as well as the non-stick bread pan.

To make your own delicious homemade bread, simply take out the bread pan and add your ingredients. Wipe away any spills from the outside of the pan and put it back into the bread chamber. Make sure the lid is closed securely and set your baking options.

A handy tip to remember is that the ingredients should be added to the bread pan in the order they’re listed on your recipe – so liquid ingredients first, followed by fats, dry ingredients and yeast. This will help to make sure that your dough rises properly.

A stainless steel exterior ensures this is a classic addition to any home kitchen, so if you’re on the lookout for a handy bread maker then this could be a great solution.

  3. Maike,

Cant find any instruction how to set up the manual mode! But on the box and in this description here it’s written it has a manual mode. ‘There are a variety of preset programmes included with the BBM400 Bread Maker, and a manual mode also lets you get creative with your own choice of flavours and baking styles. You’ll love experimenting with the different recipes, and the Gourmet Baker makes it easy to do so.’ Is it not possible to set up my own program?
