When you’ve taken the time to pick out a thoughtful gift, why not take that effort all the way to its presentation as well?

Wrapping your gift up with care and attention can go a long way, and will help show that special person how much you love them this Christmas.

It’s easy to make your own gift wrap for that extra special touch, so here are three tips for creating and organising your gift wrap this Christmas:

Make your own station

If you’ve got a lot of presents to cover, why not make it easier for yourself and organise a gift wrapping station so everything is in one place and in easy reach.

Make sure it’s stocked with all the essential items you’ll need, like scissors, tape, wrapping paper of all different kinds, ribbons, and gift tags. Keep plenty of different colours and patterns for wrapping paper and ribbon, so your gifts will stand out under the tree.

It’s also a good idea to write a list of who is getting which gifts, so you don’t get confused once you’ve wrapped everything up! Keep the list handy on your mobile or tablet so you can access it quickly (and it’s less likely to get lost among all the scraps of paper!).

Decorative tape

If you’re all out of ribbons, never fear – decorative tape works just as well and can even be used to create patterns on plain wrapping paper, ensuring that your gifts still look stylish.

Keep the tape to one colour theme or get a few different shades and patterns and play around with the placement.

Glitter

Sprinkling some glitter onto your gifts gives it that extra touch, especially when you use seasonal Christmas colours like gold or silver.

Try brushing some glue on in the shape of a snowflake or a star, sprinkling glitter over it and then letting it set. You can even get the kids involved for some extra help!
